Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
Therapeutic Massage
During this massage the techniques used will be tailored to your individual needs based on what you and the therapist feel will best assist in gaining your desired result. A combination of swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, cross fiber friction, pin and stretch, myofascial, nueromuscular re-education, stretching or cupping/warm stones may be used.
Warm Stone Massage
This massage includes the use of warm stones to enhance the feeling of mental relaxation as well as facilitate the relaxing and softening of tight muscles. It is used in conjunction with a swedish, deep tissue or therapeutic massage. The therapist will use their hands to feel for problem areas and provide hands on techniques followed with the soothing heat of the stones.
Cupping
This technique uses hard or soft cups to ease trigger points and constricted muscles. They are applied by using a suction technique. They increase circulation and stretch the fascia to ease tightness and increase mobility. It is used in conjunction with a swedish, deep tissue or therapeutic massage.
Reiki
Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to assist your body with its natural healing ability. The use of crystals and burning of sage is included in this service.
Massage with Reiki
During this session you will have the experience of a 30 minute Reiki session that flows into a 60 minute relaxation massage. The deep state of relaxation from the Reiki and massage will leave you in an enhanced state of physical and emotional wellbeing.
